The Box Office is designed for in-person sales and registrations. Whether you’re selling tickets at a theater counter, issuing complimentary tickets, or registering attendees as they arrive, everything is managed from a single checkout inside your organizer dashboard. This guide explains how to open the Box Office, when to use it, and what you’ll find once you’re inside.
Accessing the box office
- Go to Program in the main navigation.
- Locate the event you want to sell tickets for.
- Click
next to that event.
The box office checkout opens immediately, ready for a new booking.
Checkout layouts
Depending on how the event is configured, the checkout presents one of two layouts:
- Seating chart view — shown when the event has an assigned venue map. You see a visual plan of the venue where you can click individual seats to select them.
- Ticket type list — shown when the event uses general admission or does not have a seating map. You see a list of available ticket types and enter the quantity for each.
Both layouts lead to the same order flow once seats or quantities are chosen.
Seat states (seating chart view)
When working in the seating chart view, each seat is colour-coded to show its current state:
| State | Appearance | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Default colour (no overlay) | The seat is available and can be selected for this booking. |
| Locked | Yellow circle | The seat has been intentionally reserved by an organizer or cashier for box-office-only sale and is not visible to the public online. It can be only booked through the box office. |
| Unavailable | Gray | The seat has already been sold, or it is blocked and cannot be booked under any circumstances. |
Extended information on locked seats
The yellow circle may contain a single Latin letter (A–Z), set by the team member who locked the seat, to group locked seats.
- Click a seat to view its note and symbol in the seat info box
- The symbol is also visible in the yellow circle on the chart for quick understanding of how locked seats are distributed and grouped
