# Editing ticket templates and action links for a scheduled event

> Update ticket-template distribution or configure an action link from the Access settings of a scheduled event.

When a scheduled event has bookings, use its **Access** settings to change its ticket-template distribution or action link without performing a full edit. For an overview of the available limited changes, see [Partial edits to a scheduled event](/organizers/events-and-program/partial-edits-to-a-scheduled-event.md).

## Open the Access settings

1. Select **Program** from the main menu.
2. Find the scheduled event item you want to manage.
3. Click more actions button on that item.
4. Click **Settings** to open the settings page.
5. In the **Settings** page, find the **Access** section and click edit button in the top-right corner of the section. An access options pop-up opens.

> If there is no edit button in the **Access** section, one of the following may apply:
>
> - The event is shared and was created by your co-host. Only the co-host organization can edit the event itself. You have read-only access to its settings and can manage its bookings.
> - You do not have sufficient team permissions. Only `Moderator` roles and above can add or edit events.

> **Note:** If the event is in **Pending** or **Closed sale** status, you may see **Edit** instead of **Settings**. Select **Edit** to perform a full event edit, including access changes. See [Scheduling an event in the Program](/organizers/events-and-program/scheduling-an-event-in-the-program.md).

## Edit the ticket template

In the access options pop-up, choose **Ticket** to change ticket-template distribution.

You can choose whether to use:

- A common ticket template for all channels.
- Separate ticket templates for the online and box-office channels.

Use [Tickets overview](/organizers/tickets/tickets-overview.md) to manage the ticket templates available to your events. To build or update a template itself, see [Creating a ticket template](/organizers/tickets/creating-a-ticket-template.md).

## Edit the action link

In the access options pop-up, choose **Action link** to configure the action link for the event.

Configure the action-link button labels and URL placeholders. The placeholders supply event-specific values in the action-link URL.
